A multi-faceted information systems and technology company
within reach of everyone
About us
CYBERDIAMOND, LLC may be
new to the High Country but we are not a new company. We have
been based in South Florida since 1999 and on January 4, 2010, we
moved to Watauga County, NC. We love working and living in
an inspiring location of the High Country.
Jack L. Galvan started CyberDiamond after running it as a part-time computer repair and website design business while working as a full time Legal Investigator and database administrator for the Sheriff's Office of the largest county east of the Mississippi. The part-time work became a full time job and he left the Sheriff’s Office in 2000 to allow for more time to grow CyberDiamond and expand services.
Jack has a Masters of Science in Information Systems, a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology and certifications which include: MCSE, MCP+I and CompTIA A+ certifications. He also was the CTO of a Market Research company based in Boca Raton, Florida that catered to Fortune 100 companies, he co-authored and obtained several U.S. Patents for the organization. Moreover, Jack designed and developed their entire IT Department from the ground up and trained the staff as well.
CyberDiamond allowed Jack to pursue his love of technologies, the fast paced ever changing environment keeps it new and exciting. Those who know him say that he is an extremely effective teacher, patience and has the ability to explain processes in clear simple terms. Jack hopes to be able to teach at the local University or College in the area in the near future. It is definitely a talent to be able to teach technical information and make it enjoyable — that’s Jack’s forte`.
After a terrible hurricane season in 2004 – 2005 in Florida, Jack, his wife, Laurel and their two dogs came to Laurel’s sister’s home in Blowing Rock and Jack worked from this location during those summers. He and his wife needed to work from a place that was less likely to be interrupted by hurricane damage. In late 2005, they purchased a home in Watauga County as a vacation and hurricane retreat. Quickly realizing there was no need to stay in Florida, as long as they had a high speed Internet connection they could work from anywhere. They took on renovating the vacation home and in 2010, incorporated CyberDiamond, LLC in North Carolina and the Galvan’s became full time permanent North Carolinians.
For special events and other business related needs CyberDiamond does travel back to South Florida — meeting with the clients that helped them grow and who have turned into great friends. However, most of the time it is not necessary; CyberDiamond has worked with clients as far away as Korea, several in New York, California, Missouri, and Oregon. Location is not important. CyberDiamond has the technology to remotely troubleshoot and repair computers and software issues as long as the client has Internet access, we also offer web-based training and conferencing. This allows us to reach out and be there virtually, communicating just as if we were in person, exchanging ideas, document sharing and annotation, as well as, recording the session, a feature not available in true face to face meetings.
Our clients have helped us grow and are always amazed on the various services we provide and they have happily referred their friends, family and business clients and acquaintances to us.
As the CEO and CTO, Jack mentions that the biggest factor that has been our core foundation is to have a team that has the proper training, education and experience, that is always willing to give 100%, that is honest, polite, timely, creative and mindful of clients requirements, if you don’t know - find out and learn, listen to the client and speak so they understand what you are saying, educate and always give more than the client expects. If you are a CyberDiamond team member, nothing less is acceptable.
CyberDiamond, LLC has high hopes of growing quickly and adding new team members in the future while doing its part in instilling environmentally friendly and ethical business practices.
